The day my 170k+ NX got hacked, I am very mad that I didn't have clear judgement.  I decided to quit right there and then without even thinking of my friends and the guild.  So I did quit for at least 2 days, really out from Mabinogi.  But Sylpi talked me out of it.  She said I must not let Nexon, the master of all trolls, get to me. She got a point though, I love Mabinogi, and I already made quite a lot of friends on it too.  So best is to really take her advice.  So instead of quitting permanently, I decided to take an indefinite leave of absence.  I got a friend who could take care of my character for me while I try to take my head off from the recent hiatus.  She took care of my ego and did a lot of commerce for me.  I also temporarily transferred the guild leadership to lady Sylpi and lady Omegakonata while I'm out.

Since Nexon NA is unable to provide quality service to their players, the players will end up doing the necessary adjustments just to be able to extend their tolerance and patience to the game.  I do admit, the game is great, only the game publisher, Nexon NA, is not capable of handling the support.  I understand that all system, may it be games or business, are vulnerable to hacking and attacks.  But the clients shouldn't be left in the dark, that's the purpose of customer support.  What Nexon NA actually lacks, isn't technical expertise, what they really lack is a good customer support that would really answer their customers, the players.

As of lately, my substitute got spooked out from again another series of hacking that is happening in-game.  She fears that something might happen during her watch.  So now I ended up taking care of my character again, mostly AFK feeding ego and doing commerce every 2 hours as usual.  But unlike before, lessons are learned:

• Load only enough NX and use it all as much as possible
• Never AFK at a crowded place.
• Avoid taking out valuable items from your pet as much as possible during busy times.
  • If you must, do it quick and don't unsummon your pet, get your item really quick and change channel.  Do this also on the least busy channel.
• Do not accept random trades
  • If you must, do it on an alt with nothing valuable on them

 I hope these pointers will help us all be safe in our perilous 'Fantasy Life' xD.

I decided to post here instead of Nexon Forum since my thread will always get trolled there.  Trolls will always be trolls and its best to avoid encountering them for the sake of your sanity, reputation and dignity.  So even though this blog isn't something about the guild in general, please forgive me.  But I do encourage other guildmates to use this as you wish even for your personal blogs.  At least so I'm not the only one who uses this feature for my personal thoughts XD.
