Point System

01/19/2014 10:55:18 +0000

**Currently Guild points are only obtained via guild site actions, such as lotto or the 24 hour redemption**

We will now start the implementation of our guild point system to organize our guild activities and rewards.  Sylpi will be tracking the points manually while the system is currently being developed.

Why do we need this?

  • Bragging rights for those who are active in guild activities, we will be tracking both the accumulated points (points earned since start) and the available points (points remaining after using up some points)
  • The point system will help us systematically distribute items by using points to claim for them.
  • An option for members who needs help but no one wants to do it for free.
    • Right now, only a few people help other people, mostly because they don't benefit from it.  The point system aims to reward the person who helps.
  • The point system also aims to fix the problem where in new members only ask for help and never help others.  Some even got help and left guild at the same day.  There is already 1 recorded incident where a guild member was helped by 2 officers of the guild with his G3 final, then left the guild after a few hours saying the guild is inactive.

The guild point value will be as follows:

  • Participating on guild events
    • Points: +50
    • These are official guild events announced on guild website
    • Impromptu events created by officers are also counted
  • Create an account on guild website
    • Points: +50
    • Old members who created an account will be credited accordingly
  • In addition to above, the number of days since you registered for a guild site account will be added to  you as points, up to until May 5, 2012 (Saturday)
    • It means, if your guild site account is 2 months old, that is +60 more points.
  • Helping a guild member with their quest (Generation quest or skill quest)
    • The quest/mission should be successful for the points to be earned.
    • If the person being helped is disconnected, the points will still be earned.
    • If you are Basic Mode (TL 99 and below)
      • Points: +50
    • If you are Intermediate Mode (TL 100 to 299)
      • Points: +100
    • If you are Advanced Mode (TL 300 to 999)
      • Points: +150
    • If you are Hard Mode (TL 1000 to 1999)
      • Points: +160
      • If you don't die from the mission, you get +300
    • If you are Elite Mode (TL 2000 to 3999)
      • Points: +310
      • If you don't die from  the mission, you get +400
    • If you are Deity Mode (TL 4000 to 5999)
      • Points: +410
      • If you don't die from  the mission, you get +600
    • If you are God Mode (TL 6000 and above)
      • Points: +500
      • If you don't die from  the mission, you get +1000
  • If you are in need of help on your mission or quest, and you can't find any one to help you for free, you can hire guild members in exchange for your points
    • Normally, this only applies to Generation Quests and Skill Quests
    • Daily/VIP Missions are normally not affected as these quest are mutually beneficial to the whole party.
    • The points deducted to you will be the equivalent points of their level.
      • If the person helping is Hard Mode, you will lose 300.
      • If you have 3 persons helping, 2 Basic and 1 Intermediate, you will lose a total of 200 points (50+50+100).
      • If you are disconnected and you lost the chance to complete the mission, the points are still deducted.
    • You can also hire Commerce Bodyguards using points.
  • Points can also be used for Auction on items found at Guild Treasury
  • FUTURE FEATURES
    • we will activate the buy and sell module so that you can post items you want to sell for gold or points.
    • you will earn +50 for for  logging in to your guild site account every day
    • you will also earn +1 point for ever wall post every 24 hours.
    • Members will gain 'achievements' and 'titles' specifically for guild website based on accumulated and available guild points.
  • More to come as the system is being polished,  this page will be actively revised so check often.

FAQ
1. Q: Why not just give points to members who helped? I am a newbie and I can't afford to pay.
A: One of the reason why  we decided to  make a person pay for getting help is because we want to avoid fake help reports just to get a bunch of points.
Ex: Obi wants to redeem a HLB costing 500 points. He can ask his wife to make missions and report the she was helped by Obi and give him 100  points per mission. He can make 500 points in one day out of lies.
Don't worry if you cannot afford to pay. You can always ask people to help you for free. This system is actually made to make the "busy members who do not normally help" help you, in exchange of points. Without this point system, they won't help you anyways.

2. Q: I don't like the feeling when a person will help me because he will gain something.
A: I love the feeling when someone helped me out of thanks too. But..I don't like the feeling of guilt, I know the person helping me is busy with his  own thing.
If you don't want to give your helpers a little credit, you can always ask for (free)help not hire.

3. Q: I don't like the feeling of getting payments for helping. I give help for free.
A: Its good then. I'd be so happy if all our members are like you. People who left Icons should have stayed if most members are like you.

4. Q: I think this point system is unfair to low level member  like me. I'm just starting and too busy to level and train. I cannot help. How can I gain points  then?
A: Just do your own thing, ask for free help, and attend some guild activities to get points.

5. Q: What's so good about this point system again?
A: Point system provides just and equitable distribution of rewards in our guild based on each member's performance. (Rewards includes guild's assets and donations, as well as member's time. Where as performance is measured using points.)
We can avoid giving too much on one member who loves to  beg a lot and we can reward members who hates begging or asking. There will be no favoritism issues.
